Wisconsin/Chicago

Well, I'm really not in the mood for blogging today, so if you want to know more about our AMAZING trip to Wisconsin to visit Landon and Erica there, just go to http://www.ericafunk.blogspot.com/. I'll just show you all the pictures we took.

Waiting at patiently at the airport.

Okay, maybe not patiently. This is showing a fraction of the excitement i felt. Yeah, i know!

My future favorite Dentist ever! Doesn't he look so intelligent in those scopes? Yeah, I'm related to that stud muffin!

The hands of our future Dentist. Look at that skill!

This is the dummy he practises on. I think Erica named it Boqueesha. I personally think that name fits her so well.

I think Erica posted this same picture. Oh well, these two pictures (above and below) were my favorite buildings there. The whole city of Milwaukee was beautiful. Erica was sweet enough to show us around in the comfort of her car. Thanks Erica for going through all that pain for us. (she was driving a stick shift and her leg was so sore afterward) This is in front of Sprecher's, were we had a tour and learned all about BEER and some pop. In this picture we are all "drunk", so we aren't usually that weird looking. (i hope)

Drinking our free "beer". We could've gotten beer, but we just stuck to the variety of pops. but, i don't like carbonated drinks anyway, so i just took a couple sips of root beer. But it was sure fun pretending to be drunk (as you can see from my sweet face in the picture below)

My highlight of the tour was finding out that a brand of beer was named after me. Oh, tender. Who wouldn't feel special! Go Me!

*The following pictures are in Chicago.

We are all super duper excited to be in the big city of Chicago. I felt like i was in a movie. it was great! not including all the interesting people, smells (cigarettes), sounds (taxi honking, yelling people), and sights (scary places).

Mom posing in front of the Sears tower, the tallest in Chicago and (correct me if I'm wrong) the 3rd tallest in the world.

The mirror bean. yippee!

Inside the bean looking up. It kind of make me dizzy and gave me a headache. yeah, go headache!

We saw this draw bridge go up, it was soooo cool! I was pretty much having culture shock! It reminded me of batman, when he drove his sweet car over the draw bridge. TIGHT!

Yeah, papa! we still love you and you are still handsome!
Before we saw Wicked we ran to McDonald's for their Delicious hot fudge Sundays and french fries! those are the only things i like at McDonald's. Yum!
Yeah Wicked! it was the best thing i have ever seen! I got the chills every song. I even cried at the end. It was amazing. I will never think of 'wizard of oz' the same. They all had so much talent, i was blown away!
The above picture is us standing in front of the Oriental Theatre. If you look closely you can see us. Cars kept driving past and we were sitting there across the street smiling like idiots at, what appeared to be nothing, while my dad tried to capture the moment. Good job poppie!
The theatre was so ornate and Beautiful. I felt like i was in the theatre on Phantom of the opera, but less nudity and more swirls.
This is what the set looked like while waiting for the play to start. The winged creature on top of the stage was a dragon that lit up, blew smoke, flapped it's wings, and moved it's head like it was alive. All the sets were amazing. It was illegal to take pictures, but dad sneaked this one. The play was so funny, powerful, uplifting, etc. It was way better than any movie i have ever seen!

Back in Milwaukee we went to get some frozen custard. They don't have it where we live so it was fun. As if we didn't have enough junk food for the week. oh well, it was yummy. That pretty much wraps up all our main points.

It was so fun to see Landon and Erica again after 10 months of not seeing them. We had tons of fun just hanging out with them, playing cranium, eating, sight seeing, etc. They were the so fun to be with. I loved their quick whit and jokes. I laughed so much that weekend.

One main highlight was that I didn't miss an hour of school! It was our fall break, so I didn't have to hurry about the pile of homework waiting for me at home, because there wasn't any! yAhOo!!

Bigger!

Here is a picture that just makes me laugh everytime I see it. Isn't she adorable? She is a girl who lives near us. Her grandparents are in our ward and are Momma and Poppie's good friends. I used to babysit Jastine and her older brother.

The funniest part about it is the story behind it.

My best friend's sister-in-law is a photographer and was taking their family pictures. Some of the kids wouldn't smile at all. So Shelly (the photographer) would say "Okay, smile. Smile bigger. Smile really big," to those kids who weren't smiling. But this cute little girl did exactly what she was told to do. She smiled, then smiled bigger and bigger and bigger. Finally she got to this cute face. Man, I love it!

Cant you just imagine that. Shelly saying "bigger" so Jastine smiles bigger. "Bigger" even bigger. "Bigger" even bigger. Wow, that kills me! When my sister told me this story i was practically peaing my pants, i was laughing so hard! I thought i would just share that with ya'll!

Heart attack!

~PRELUDE~

Well, last Friday i had a very memorable experience. I accidentally set my alarm clock an hour late on Thursday night. I woke up on my own and said the traditional "oh crap! You've got to be kidding!" line. I usually wake up at 6:30 and my ride comes around 7:30. My alarm clock read 7:00. I jumped out of bed and used my amazing skills. Ever since i was little I've had a very unusual talent. Under certain circumstances I can get ready super fast. My record is 5 minutes, i even did everything i usually did in about 45 minutes. that is what i call skill and multitasking.

Anywho, I got ready with time to spare. Then I finally looked at the kitchen clock for the first time. It said 6:30. WHAT! I laughed so hard! i found a good alternative to sleeping, I read my book in the front room.

~STORY I WAS GOING TO WRITE IN THE FIRST PLACE~

At about 7:00 am (it was still dark) I heard a car door open and then close in front of our house. I figured it was for the neighbors, then i remembered my friend telling me he was going to toilet paper my house when he got his license that week. I doubted it would be him so I just kept reading. Then there was a loud BANG on my front door. It sounded like someone slammed their fist on the door.

I froze completely. My stomach sank and my limbs tingled. I was so scared especially since i was so close to the front door. I look through the window but the angle was off, so i couldn't see if someone was there. I knew it wasn't my friend, cause he wouldn't do that. Tons of thoughts flew through my head. I wondered if it was a coincidence I woke up an hour early.

I gathered enough courage to move upstairs to my room where i could look out the window so see if there were any cars or people. Nothing was there. I used all the courage i could muster to go downstairs and look through the door window. Nobody was there. I looked down. Sitting on my door-step was the morning's newspaper! Stupid newspaper boy!
I felt so retarded! I was embarrassed that i actually thought i was in danger or something. Looking back on it now i realize how silly i was. But when you feel like your heart is about to beat it's way out of your chest, you can't think really clearly.

~MORAL OF THE STORY~

if you wake up early and have extra time to read, just know that the paper boy isn't a mass murder and the newspaper is not going to run at you and attack you!
